Carbon Monoxide Poisoning – The Symptoms You Must Know

A recent Gas Safety Trust poll of 2,000 people has highlighted the fact that despite the fact that many people are aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning, just 13% of people can identify the main symptoms and characteristics of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Younger People At Risk The  poll indicated that it was the younger age group (under 25s) as the age group least able to identify all of the symptoms and characteristics. The report also found that less than a third had an audible carbon monoxide alarm in their home. “With the Department of Health estimating 40 deaths per year from Carbon Monoxide, it is essential that people get their appliances checked on an annual basis by an appropriately qualified engineer from Gas Safe Register and that every household an audible CO alarm.” – Chris Bielby, chair of the Gas Safety Trust.
